This is Carl Dix's new video on STOP "Stop & Frisk" with a challenge to Ray Kelly, NYPD police commissioner, to debate.   Carl Dix of the Revolutionary Communist Party, is a co-founder of the October 22nd Coalition to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation, and initiator of the Stop Mass Incarceration: We're Better Than That! Network.

Here's a taste:

"We can’t let them get away with making our youth a special class of people who have no rights their cops have to respect.  Who revoked the part of the constitution protecting people from unreasonable search and seizure for people whose skin happens to be Black or Brown?  NY’s chief pig, Ray Kelly says his police don’t practice racial profiling.  Well Ray, I’m here to tell you that the numbers show that your statement is a damn lie!

"The numbers on marijuana arrests tell the same story.  Even though possession of small amounts of marijuana is not a crime in NY State, the NYPD arrested more than 50,000 people for possession of marijuana last year.  More than % of those arrested were Black or Latino, but government figures show that the overwhelming majority of marijuana users are white!  Ray Kelly needs to tell us how these facts don’t prove that his cops are deliberately targeting Black and Latino people.  Ray Kelly, I challenge you to a debate about Stop & Frisk, so the truth about it can be brought out into the light of day.

"Policies like Stop & Frisk are why so many people in this so-called best of all possible societies are warehoused in prisons across the US.  Almost 2.5 million people—more than any other country in the world!"
